Bin & Dumpster Rental in Port Hope, Ontario

Roll-off bins dropped in your Port Hope driveway — same or next day

Port Hope is one of Ontario’s most beautifully preserved heritage towns — and it’s about 30 minutes west of our Colborne depot, so when you need a disposal bin here we can usually have one at your door the same or next day. From century homes and heritage restorations along Walton Street and the historic downtown, to renovations in Canton, Welcome, Garden Hill, Perrytown, Campbellcroft and Port Britain, to riverside and Lake Ontario waterfront property work near the mouth of the Ganaraska, Load-N-Lift Disposal drops a clean roll-off bin exactly where you need it and hauls it away when you’re done. We’re a family-owned, Ministry of Environment–certified company, and we’ve been voted Best Junk Removal Company three years running by ThreeBest Rated.

Bin sizes for every Port Hope project

We carry mini-bins and multi-lift roll-off containers in six sizes, so you only pay for the space you actually need. Every bin has a door that opens to ground level and rollers that protect your driveway.

  • 7 & 8 yard — small bathroom or single-room reno, garage tidy-up, deck tear-off. Fits tight downtown and heritage-district driveways.
  • 11 yard — kitchen reno, large garage or shed clean-out, small roofing job.
  • 16 yard — whole-basement clean-out, mid-size renovation, estate or moving clean-up.
  • 20 & 25 yard — full home clean-out, larger roofing tear-off, construction and demolition debris, big commercial jobs.

Getting rid of waste in Port Hope

Curbside collection in Port Hope is administered by Northumberland County (1-866-293-8379). Urban Area residents get weekly curbside garbage, organics and recycling, but Rural Ward residents get no curbside pickup and must self-haul to the Hope Transfer Station at 4775 5th Line — and that site is restricted to Port Hope Rural Ward residents only, with proof of residency, for their own household waste. The County’s landfill is over 40 minutes east at the Brighton CRC, and bulky items, hazardous waste and e-waste are never curbside and have to go to a County depot. So for a heritage reno or a whole-home cleanout, a roll-off bin in your driveway avoids the haul entirely: we drop it, you fill it on your own schedule, and we take it to the scale and dispose of it responsibly — and we provide weigh-scale receipts with every rental.

Great for: heritage & century-home renovations (plaster, lath, old roofing, masonry) • estate, garage & basement clean-outs • renovation & construction debris • clean fill • yard-waste and spring clean-up • riverside and Lake Ontario waterfront property work. If your waste is unbecoming to you… it should be coming to us!

Up-front pricing & local discounts

  • UP-FRONT pricing — no surprises; you know the cost before the bin arrives.
  • 5% Senior discount and 5% Military discount on all bin rentals.
  • Weigh-scale receipts supplied with every rental.
  • Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB and cash accepted.
  • Fully insured, property-friendly service — certified by the Ministry of Environment.

Port Hope bin rental — frequently asked questions

Do I need a permit to put a bin in Port Hope?
If the bin sits entirely on your own driveway or private property, no permit is needed. If it has to sit on a municipal road, lane or sidewalk, the Municipality of Port Hope requires a Road Occupancy Permit (apply online or at 5 Mill Street South) — wherever possible we’ll place the bin on your property so you don’t need one.

How quickly can you deliver in Port Hope?
Usually same-day or next-day, since we’re only about 30 minutes away at our Colborne depot. Call 905 355-2894 to check today’s availability.

What size bin do I need?
A single-room reno or garage clean-out normally fits a 7–11 yard bin; a full basement, roof, or whole-home clean-out is better in a 16–25 yard bin. Not sure? Tell us the project and we’ll recommend the right size.

What can’t go in the bin?
Hazardous waste, liquids, propane tanks, tires and certain electronics can’t go in a standard bin — just ask and we’ll point you to the right option.
