Cobourg is one of the busiest communities we serve, and it’s only about 20 to 25 minutes from our Colborne depot — so when you need a disposal bin in this Lake Ontario beach town, we can usually have one at your door the same or next day. From the Victorian and century homes of the downtown Heritage Conservation District along King Street to renovations near Victoria Park and Cobourg Beach, downsizing hauls in Fitzhugh Shores and west Cobourg, and cleanouts in New Amherst and along the harbourfront, Load-N-Lift Disposal drops a clean roll-off bin exactly where you need it and hauls it away when you’re done. We’re a family-owned, Ministry of Environment–certified company, and we’ve been voted Best Junk Removal Company three years running by ThreeBest Rated.
We carry mini-bins and multi-lift roll-off containers in six sizes, so you only pay for the space you actually need. Every bin has a door that opens to ground level and rollers that protect your driveway.
There is no waste site in Cobourg itself. Northumberland County runs its disposal as Community Recycling Centres (CRCs), and the nearest options are the Brighton CRC at 1112 County Road 26 — the County’s only active landfill, about 25 to 30 minutes east — and the Bewdley CRC at 7650 County Road 9 to the north. Both require proof of residency, charge by weight, and take debit or credit only (no cash). And with the curbside limit of just two tagged garbage bags per week, plus no curbside pickup for bulky items, any reno or cleanout outgrows the curb fast. For anything bigger than a car-load, a roll-off bin is almost always cheaper and far less work: we drop it in your driveway, you fill it on your own schedule, and we take it to the scale and dispose of it responsibly — and we provide weigh-scale receipts with every rental.
Great for: renovation & restoration debris from century homes (lath-and-plaster, old roofing) • estate, garage & basement clean-outs • downsizing hauls • construction debris • clean fill • yard-waste and spring clean-up • move-out clear-outs. If your waste is unbecoming to you… it should be coming to us!

Do I need a permit to put a bin in Cobourg?
If the bin sits on your own driveway or private property, no permit is needed. If it has to sit on a Town street or boulevard, confirm requirements with the Town of Cobourg Municipal Law Enforcement & Licensing office at 905-372-8380 — wherever possible we’ll place the bin on your property so you don’t need one.
How quickly can you deliver in Cobourg?
Usually same-day or next-day, since we’re only about 20 to 25 minutes away in Colborne. Call 905 355-2894 to check today’s availability.
What size bin do I need?
A single-room reno or garage clean-out normally fits a 7–11 yard bin; a full basement, roof, or whole-home clean-out is better in a 16–25 yard bin. Not sure? Tell us the project and we’ll recommend the right size.
What can’t go in the bin?
Hazardous waste, liquids, propane tanks, tires and certain electronics can’t go in a standard bin — just ask and we’ll point you to the right option.
We also deliver bins throughout Northumberland County, including Port Hope , Colborne , Brighton and Warkworth . See all areas we serve .
